Week 12

We performed several tests on the system that works using the lifting of the eyebrows. The system works and while lifting both eyebrows up for two seconds, it sends out a text message that has been set ahead of time to a person that is not necessarily in the same area as the patient. We chose this function because it was the major task our patient, Shay, asked for. We wanted to check if there was a possibility to find a resolution for a more emotional need, but the immediate and most urgent necessity the patient asked for was a way to ask for help by sending a text message. we asked Shay to rate other functions he would like the system to perform in the future as well. Here are the top ten functions in descending from most important to least:

[if !supportLists]1. [endif]A normal way to call for help. Phone vibration/sms/light turns on.

[if !supportLists]2. [endif]Urgent call for help due to breathing problems. Activating everything available, maybe turning light on in the room.

[if !supportLists]3. [endif]Turning on T.V, controlling volume.

[if !supportLists]4. [endif]Sending out a message that "everything is alright".

[if !supportLists]5. [endif]Sending out a message to "move arms and legs".

[if !supportLists]6. [endif]Sending out a message of "too cold or too hot".

[if !supportLists]7. [endif]Sending out a message "good night to my wife".

[if !supportLists]8. [endif]Sending out a message that "I want to get up".

[if !supportLists]9. [endif]Changing temperatures of air-conditioning.

[if !supportLists]10. [endif]Turning off light in a room nearby.
