Week 10

After we understood that we want to develop a system that would help ALS patients communicate from the moment they wake up, we tried to connect to the feeling of independence. We figured that a part of what we would like to enable for our patient, is also the choice of what the system should do. We also agreed that the system should perform different activities that the patient would choose to activate when waking up, with a simple to use program, while he is connected to his communicating systems, in order to choose which activities it will activate the morning after, when he is disconnected from them. We started to think of different operations, read a lot of research, to try and figure out what would improve the independence level of patients and which technology could be used for those operations. What is already on the market? What is the best way to work? We found different technologies of very fast cameras- that identify tens of thousands of frames in a second.
